TwiceToddlers at Michael's

This morning, before heading out to the park, we all went into Michael's. You know, I really like this store...can you tell? I must go at least 3 times a month. So this morning, we all went into Michael's to get the girls some more wooden dolls to color. These dolls are pretty cool. They come with four colors to use to color the wooden girl dolls whatever color or way my twins want to.

On this Michael's excursion, we picked up 4 dolls a piece, one horse and one car a piece for them. Yes, these are all wooden pieces which keep them occupied. When you have twins that are as busy as mine, you need...no must...keep them occupied all the time.

Along with the wooden dolls, we got then a hand puppet a piece, a paddle ball (which they will break in two shakes of a lamb's tale), a small wooden bird house to paint as well.

Finally, we got Mommy some goodies. Since I like making candies with molds and chocolates I find at Michael's, I had to purchase two new molds, two bags of chocolate (pink and white), gold wrapping paper and candy sticks. The only thing I did not see was that paper for allowing candies or dipped fruit to dry on. All in all, we had a fun time in Michael's and got one more coupon to use by the 12th. I will see if my Mom and I can go when my parent's come up for the twins graduation ceremony...

TwiceToddlers at the Park

Oh yeah, it was finally a warm day today. Well, it is Memorial Day weekend, so it should be warm. But of course, last week, it rained and poured like nobody's business. I am guessing it was one last Winter/Spring horray!

Anyway, this morning, the weather was amazing. My twins were still dressed in their winter dresses with warm winter tights on. I said, "Girls, it looks like it will be a warm day today. You better take off these warm tights and get on a short sleeve dress."

While at the park, the girls ran in the open field and had fun, we played "Duck, Duck, Duck...GOOSE!" and just went home. As always, the play equipment was HOT. Too bad there are no covers over the play area.

Oh my, they fussed and whined about changing into something cooler. But, when we got to the park, they sat down and at their lunch, they were happy to be out of these warm tights. On Twin "B" changed into a cooler dress. Twin "A" was stubborn as all get out and worn her warm stress and then whined all the way to the truck saying, "It is hot. It is hot in the car." Daddy turned on the A/C and said, "The A/C takes time to get cool, just wait a minute".

TwiceToddlers and Mimicking Every Word

It has been, well going on, thirty-six years since I was a four year old. Asking me if I recall being a four year old is just not necessary. I do not recall being a four year old, but my parents, Gramma and Aunt's certainly do. They will remind me that when I was four years old, I too liked to mimick them. By this I do not mean by repeating a bad word. I mean by repeating sentences I say.

Well, over the past could months, my twins have decided it is fun to mimick Daddy, Mommy and Nana. Here is an example: "No, you can't go outdoors right now, it is raining and I don't know when it will stop." My twins, not at the same time, will as I am speaking these words, say it along with me.

At first, I found it funny. After a while,it gets annoying. But, I have to say, this is much better than if my twins were to repeat any word that they should not be saying.

Do your toddler's do this too? Repeat every word in your sentence? If so, do you like it, does it make you laugh or cry?

TwiceToddlers and Pony Balony

My twins love "My Little Pony". In fact, they have between the two of them, eight My Little Pony's. They have some in their bedroom toy chest, outside in the garage in their bicycle pouch, some in the family room and usually...well at least one, sitting by them.

You would think that will all their My Little Pony toys, they would not fight. Well, you would be wrong..so wrong. Yes, they fight, over their My Little Pony toys. It amazes me how much they fight over all the same toys.

When I was their age, well a little bit older, I remember playing with the My Little Pony toys. My best friend and I played with them for hours and hours. Then, we got bored and played with our Barbie dolls instead.

But I digress...

Right now, my twins are eating their lunch, holding on to one of their My Little Ponies and watching a My Little Pony movie. Now, I am not really a fan of this movie because it has a witch in it. Why do all these movies for toddlers have to have a witch in them? What is going on here? Are there no wholesome, clean, toddler cartoons for my twins to watch these day. I could say why I think these witches are in these cartoons, but I shall keep it to myself..for now..

Ah yes, when my twins are looking for their My Little Pony toys are want to see the cartoon/movie, they say, "Can I watch the Pony Balony movie" and they say, "Where is my Pony Baloney toy? I can not find them anywhere." Daddy says Pony Balony all the time and now our twins say it too..LOL

Kidzmet for all your Childs Creative and Sports Activities

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of KidzmetJen. All opinions are 100% mine.

During the past year, it is sad to say, the public school system has let down a lot of children and parents when it comes to music programs, art programs and sports programs. Sadly, these curricula, or magnet programs, are being reduced or cut altogether from public schools all over the United States, coast to coast.

This has left parents and their children to wonder, what will they do spark their creativity in the classroom and outdoors on the playing fields. Well, parents and children no longer have to wonder, parents will just step up to the plate and provide for their children in these areas, where the public schools no longer can.

If the public school system can not fund these classes, parents can now do so by looking for creative class like ballet, dance, art, music and outdoor sports like soccer, volleyball, football, basketball and track and field on their own.

Now, even though this seems to be the case these days, parents are not really on their own. This is where Kidzmet.com comes in. At the Kidzmet.com website, parents are able to type in their cities zip code, child's age, class type, how many miles a parent is willing to drive for an activity, a parent can type in a particular school they are looking for, how many days of the week they want their child to be involved in a creative class or outdoor sport, when the class should start and if your child has a special need, a sibling attending and a parent/child class.

The Kidzmet.come website can also give advice and ideas for parents to use, there is an assessment test for your child, choosing the right sport for your child and selecting the right instrument for your child as well. This is a one stop youth creative and sports website for parents and children. This website should definitely not be passed up.

TwiceToddlers and Their Imagination

My twins, they are so precious. With their play kitchen in one corner of the family room, they pretend to be little chefs with their chef outfits on. Twin "A" likes to fill up the pots with all the plastic food I got from doing surveys on this one website I am part of. Twin "B" likes to put food in the pots as well and bring the food to me to stir and then eat.

On their kitchen, is a fake telephone. With the telephone, Twin "A", she is so silly in that she acts like Mommy on the phone. Twin "A", more than Twin "B", actually has conversations on the pretend phone. She shakes her head and responds to whomever she is speaking to. Then, if I am close by, she will ask if the person she is talking to wants to talk to Mommy. Then, Twin "A" says, "Yeah, she is precious and I love her".

Oh goodness, my twins and their imagination. I would like to get them more toys that spark their imagination. I was thinking of looking for a doctor kit online or something else. But, I will NEVER get them anything to do with fast food. That is the last thing I want them to "pretend" to be or act like.

TwiceToddlers and Duck, Duck, Duck...Goose!!

My twins, they love games. One of the games they enjoy most is "Duck, Duck, Duck..Goose!." Twin "B", she could say this phrase forever if I do not tell her to stop and pick someone. Once she does pick someone, we run around the home, or outdoors, for a while, screaming and laughing. Twin "B" loves it when either her or Mommy stops, and turns the other way trying to tag the other person. Oh goodness, Twin "B", and Twin "A", could play this game all day long, if I allowed it.

Another game my twins like to play is "London Bridge". Twin "A" does not like to be caught in the middle of our arms as much as Twin "B" does. Twin "A" oh, she gets mad and begins screaming and falls to the ground. She does not understand yet that being caught in the middle is all part of the game. In fact, it was not until two years ago that I began to remember this was all part of the game.

There are other games my twins like playing that deal with RUNNING. If my twins are running, they are in all their glory. When they are standing still or have to sit down, they just have ants in their pants.

Send Your Child a Letter from Santa

Does your child believe in Santa? If they are under 12, they probably do. Well, it would probably put a big smile on your child's face to see Mail from Santa in the mail box in December. When your child or children see the postmark "North Pole, Alaska" and Official North Pole Mail on their envelope, they will be grinning from ear to ear and want to open their letter right away.

In order for your child, children or grandchild to receive Mail from Santa, all you have to do is give us your child's name, city they live in and so much more for only $9.95. Ordering a letter from Santa is easy online and there is free shipping too. Right now is the best time to place your order and have Mail from Santa arrive to your child on or before December.

TwiceToddlers and Stuff from Michael's Craft Store

This morning, I called my sweet friend from church and bible study. I was about to ask her if she could pick me up and take me to cash a check, them to Michael's Craft Store. Gosh, it seems like I have been going to Michael's a lot lately. I do have valid reasons for going though. When I am there, I pick up scrap booking paper, stickers, embellished stickers, decoupage glue, cocoa in bags, found in the cake/candy aisle, silver or gold candy wrappers, gold or white truffle boxes and molds to make my candies.

So this morning, my girlfriend and I, along with her son who is my twins age, went to cash my check, then to Michael's. Today, I purchased some more gold and white truffle boxes, homemade stickers and a hearts mold. Along with these items I needed, I purchased some things for my twins to do while indoors. I was looking for some cute things that would not cost me an arm and a leg. So, I went to the dollar and two dollar bins. There, I found some wooden dolls, wooden insects and wooden alphabet's with an animal representing that letter. I purchased the letter's representing my twins first initial of their name.

Right now, I am on a kick and really like making molded candies. How long it will know, only I know, but it so much fun making homemade candies, chocolate candies, that is. As for the wooden dolls, insects and letters to color, I will probably give to my twins for graduation or if it continues to rain, so as to keep them occupied.

Looking to Stay Mobile Has Just Gotten Easier

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

If or when you are need of equipment for your vehicle to allow you to keep driving, it is time you contact NMEDA. NMEDA is a non-profit trade association. This means they educate consumers on buying products from a NMEDA qualified dealer. In case you are wondering, NMEDA does not sell anything. In fact, NMEDA is the only association that promotes safe driving and equipment for disabled people.

Since they are non-profit, their members are required to adhere to the safety standards of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. NMEDA dealers (members) are the ones who sell handicap vans and vehicle modifications for anyone with a disability.

Now, because no two people with a disability are exactly the same, it is wise to beware of adapted wheelchair vehicles sold over the Internet or through catalogs. NMEDA would like to meet each individual, in person, for an evaluation. This way you can be sure you are getting the right driving solution customized for your specific lifestyle and needs. When dealing with the NMEDA association, you can be rest assured they will provide you with any additional training or product refinements you need.

Under the NMEDA umbrella, they have Dealers and Quality Assurance Program (QAP) dealers they provide to their clients. When clients are looking for a local dealer, in their city or surrounding area, all they have to do is go to the NMEDA website, click on the For Consumers tab and scroll down to Locate A Dealer. Once on this page, type in your cities zip code or search by state or province. As for the Quality Assurance Program (QAP), this is the only nationally recognized accreditation program for the Adaptive Mobility Equipment Industry. The (QAP) is based on the principle that to satisfy customers consistently, companies such as NMEDA must have a systematic and documented approach to quality.

Being a caregiver to a disabled loved one, friend or client can be tough at times. It is a caregivers duty to assist their client in any way, such as taking them to the grocery store or out for some fresh air. This is where NMEDA comes in to assist not only a person who finds themself disabled, but the assist the caregiver as well.

Finally, when you decide to place your trust and assurance with a NMEDA dealer, you will see and witness how they can help the elderly or disabled get back onto the road of independence. Just because one has a disability, does not mean they can not utilize their Independence, again.

TwiceToddlers and Backrubs

Over the past couple weeks, when I pray with my twins at bedtime, I kiss, hug them and now rub their backs. They love when Mommy rubs their backs so much that they want to rub Mommy's back now too.

My twins are so cute, they love Mommy to pick them up where they can wrap their arms and legs around me, just to give me a good back rub. Now, I am not able to see their face, unless in front of the mirror, but I bet they are grinning from ear to ear. They just love Mommy holding them and being able to wrap their arms and legs, still, around Mommy.

So, tonight, like every night, they say, "Mommy, I want to give you a back rub before you leave". It is a good thing they are 39-40 lbs each. If I had the both of them up, 80 lbs, I think I would fall over!

TwiceToddlers and Hooked on Phonics Lessons

This afternoon, Twin "A" picked up the Hooked on Phonics box and said, "Mommy, let's play with the letter's". She said this when she and her sister, Twin "B", got home from preschool. I said, "Alright, after your nap we will "play" with the letters." After an hour and half nap, Twin "A" got up and brought me the "Hooked on Phonics" box. I told Twin "A" we will wait until her sister wakes up so we can "play" with the letters altogether.

In no less than 5 minutes, did Twin "B" wake up from her nap, and Mommy went to get her laptop. The CD with the "HOP" lady talking on it is in my laptop. Since it had been two weeks since we did the first part of "HOP", we began again, from the beginning.

My twins had a good time learning, but they are not fans of repetition. I told them "You have to repeat the letters and sounds more than once, so you will learn and remember what each letter sounds like." I told them, "This is how everyone learns anything new."

Well, my twins actually did quite well today. In fact, they pretty much picked up where we left off two weeks ago. So, they were able to get the the pages 6 and 7 of the Yellow Book.

On Thursday, we will hopefully get the the pages with the small stories, for pictures and under each frame is one or two words.

The Formula Savings Calculator for Parents

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

Recently, I visited the Parent's Choice website and I clicked on the Savings Calculator to see how much I would save on the baby formula I used when my twins were infants. Well, it is amazing the difference in price the baby formula I used is and the Parent's Choice baby formula is. The one I was told to use, since my twins were preemies, Similac Sensitive formula, was $23.78 for a 25.7oz can. While the Parent's Choice Sensitivity formula, is $14.88 for a 25.7oz can.

When purchasing the Similac Sensitive baby formula, at the price of $23.78, it would allow for 188 fl servings and cost $0.76 per a 6oz feeding. On the other hand, the Parent's Choice baby formula, at the price of $14.88, would allow for 186 fl servings and cost $0.48 per a 6oz feeding.

That is an almost $9.00 savings, per can, to parents with one, two, three or more babies that must be fed, at birth, every 2-4 hours. This means parents can be saving as much as $600, annually, on one baby, now double or triple that amount of savings for more than one baby. The saved money could go towards so much more for raising your precious baby or babies. With the saved money, parents could purchase more clothes, and of course, diapers. In fact, when you check out the savings calculator yourself, you will see the many name brand formula's you will save on when choosing to purchase Parent's Choice baby formulas.

When I went to the Formula Finder , it showed formula's for babies under 12 months and over 12 months. Parent's Choice makes Premium, Organic, Sensitivity, Milk, Soy, Advantage, Gentle, Added Rice Starch and Older Infants formula's. It looks like every baby, young and old, sensitive stomach or not, is covered with Parent's Choice baby formula's.

TwiceToddlers Final Ballet Class

This morning was my twins final ballet class for the season. In fact, today they were all by themselves. One of their friends, like I wrote in a previous article, went to the East Coast for a while and their other friend's Mommy had something to do with her older brother at school and one of their other friends probably did not come because they forgot today was the last day of ballet class.

While my twins were dancing in their final class, I listened to my iPod with Derek Gilbert as he talked with this woman Sheila B. about her spiritual journey from childhood until today. That was an amazing life she led and still does lead today.

Before class, I gave their teacher a gift I have put together for her. I gave her a Sweet Pea bath wash, a Coconut solid soap, some truffles I made and floral pen for her. Since she gave me a very nice discount for both my twins to join her class, I thought that was the least I could do for her. I really do adore her and she was so patient with my girls, when they did not obey her.

I am hoping, like I have stated before in my previous articles, my twins will want to re-join her evening class in the Fall.

TwiceToddlers and their Last Ballet Dance Class

Tomorrow is my twins last ballet dance class for this season. It looks like it will be a small class as there will only be two or three girls in class tomorrow. Two of my twins friends have other places they have to be. Oh, that is alright though my twins see their friends in Sunday School every Sunday anyway. Except one of their friends will be out of the state for a while.

Well, since we will not see my twins ballet dance instructor until the Fall, I made her a "Thank You" gift. Actually, I made one of the gifts and purchased two of the other gifts. I will write about what I made for their dance instructor on my other blog and link it here. But, seeing as it is past midnight, I will go to bed and complete that other blog tomorrow.

Well, after tomorrow's dance class, my twins will be home on their dance class days and they can do Hooked on Phonics with Mommy. It really would be amazing if they could learn to read before entering Kindergarten in the Fall.

Designer Baby Furniture and More all in One Place

Whether you are going to have a baby girl, baby boy, twins, triplets or more, you will most likely need baby bedding . These baby sheets come in organic or natural material, in the colors white, light blue or blue/white checkered. When your baby lays down on a baby bedding set of your liking or a simple white, light blue or blue/white checkered sheet, they will know they are loved. Along with the bedding sheets, you have to consider the mattress, mattress pad and mattress cover. If your baby will be in a bassinet, in your bedroom, you will have to consider a bassinet mattress for your baby's comfort. There are two crib sized mattresses to look at for your baby. The Starlight Support mattress comes in innerspring twin, full or foam. The Supreme Starlight Support mattress comes in innerspring full, twin, foam or round design. These Supreme Starlight mattresses are built with your baby in mind. This is because they are hypoallergenic, antimicrobial, and open flame resistant for a safe and comfortable nights sleep. All of this on your babies crib will allow for a peaceful rest.

Another mattress item to consider is the mattress pad. This allows for your baby to sleep soundly and dry throughout the night. The pad will keep any wetness away from the mattress and your baby. Then, there is the mattress cover. The cover is a must have for added softness while sleeping and for keeping a "leaks" off your baby or toddlers mattress.

After finding the perfect mattress for your baby, it is time to look at baby crib bedding .
Now, where there used to be just a white fitted and flat sheet, along with a ruffle to complete the crib look, today there is a whole array of baby crib bedding available for a newborn baby to lay down and play on. Today, baby bedding comes in an array of colors such as a light/dark brown mixture, a pastel mixture, a light pink/brown polka dot mixture, green plaid color, blue/white checkered mixture, a simple cream color or a simple white color. It is a lot of fun looking at and making a purchase of baby crib bedding today.

Finally, what every baby needs most, either in the winter or summer months are baby blankets . Baby blankets can be used for many reasons. Babies love to be wrapped up tight in blanets, as this keeps them feeling warm and secure. Baby blankets are also good for nursing Mom's, when babies are laying down on a hard surface, soft surface, in a grassy area or for shading the sun from your sleeping babies eyes. When it comes to looking at and purchasing baby blankets, there are organic crib blankets in various colors. Organic blankets are made of cotton and will not harm your babies skin. Along with Organic blankets, there are the ThermaSoft Thermal Cotton blankets. These blankets are durable and 100% cotton for your babies soft and delicate skin.

TwiceToddlers and NOT Spring Weather

It is the end of May and it is still cold and rainy in my city. In fact, it is still raining and showing up in the foothills and in the mountains. If we are expecting to have fun on Memorial Day Weekend, that will be amazing in and of itself. As it is, the weatherman, much less the weather, can not be trusted. What would really be freaky is if the weather was like it is today, going into June and July. I guess we could not blame out climate woes on Global Warming anymore...could we.

Maybe we can call it a Little Ice Age instead since our weather in my city is closer to winter than summer. Oh, it does make me sad for my twins that they really have not been able to play outside much since our "winter" days "went away". Okay, I am irritated now, but just wait...the hot, very hot summer months are going soon. Then, I will be whining that it is too hot and will be indoors all...summer...long...this happens ever summer in my city.

It is either TOO HOT or TOO COLD in my city. The best time of they year is actually in September. So, today, seeing as it is not yet summer, my twins are indoors, playing with their building blocks, playing with their dollhouse and watching some cartoons. This is only because Mommy, that is me, does not like to be outdoors if the weather is under 78 degrees and or it is windy outside. But, when Daddy comes home, they are sure to go outside and play, play, play.

TwiceBabies and Their Daily Routine

My twins, I do love them dearly, love their daily routine. Whether they are going to preschool or staying home for the day, they have a certain time they like to get up, get dressed, get their breakfast and milk. Almost everyday, their routine is the same. This is true especially when they go down for a nap and get their afternoon junk snack, as I call it.

My twins know the difference between their junk food snack and their healthy snack. Now personally, I prefer to give them a healthy food snack of apples, bananas, Mandarin oranges, cantaloupe, baby carrots, sliced celery with peanut butter and strawberries. Unfortunately, my twins prefer the former for their snack food, anything sweet. With my twins, I am not shy or keep things from them. In fact, I will and have told them time and time again, "Processed junk food, made by man and not by God, are bad for you and will harm your body and mind." Mommy, that is me, prefers her little girls stay healthy instead of sick, taking OTC meds and/or in the hospital.

When my twins wake up from nap, they love to watch some cartoons and then turn around and play with their thousands of stuffed animals and dollhouse. Well, their dollhouse needs to be fixed or I need to find them a new one. I was looking at a wooden one online that looks nice and is within my price range, actual price and shipping/handling costs.

Recently, I purchased a tent for my twins. They were always asking me to make them a tent. But, their tent seemed to be all over the family room. So, I went online and found two really cute princess castle shaped tents. First, I purchased one, found it was too small for both of them and purchased another one. Now, they have all of, if not most, of their stuffed animals inside their tents. I just do not allow liquid or foods in their as I know they would leave them in there.

So, this is my twins daily routine, how is your kids daily routine?

Parents, Children and The Internet should go hand in hand

Even though my twins are almost 4.5 years old, they want to be on the Internet like Mommy. My girls know their cousins are always online, playing fun games and learning games. There are a lot of Internet websites for toddlers too. In fact, I have found several websites for my girls I would allow them to play on, but I would have to be there with them. The great thing about the websites I have found is, they have hardly any, if at all, advertisements.

Now, as nice as this is, parents have to be very Clear with their children, even toddlers, that they are not to be playing on or looking at websites without their parents permission. Since our children are our most precious resource, we have to protect them from things they should not be looking at to harm their innocent minds. The websites I have found, two to be exact, are really toddler friendly and do not have anything a toddlers eyes should not be seeing. Just recently, I found a really cute website for toddlers called Billi Bear. This website teaches toddlers about ABC's, Hide and Seek, Counting, Colors and so much more. The design and colors of the website is nice as well. Now, even though this is a website for toddlers, there is a note to parents. That is very nice to see the owners of this website care enough about toddlers to have a note to parents.

The Internet has been one of the most ingenious inventions of the 20th and 21st centuries. People are now able to go to school online, listen to music online, post videos online, meet new people online and so much more. If you are the type of person who does not want to be tied down to a wire when logging onto the Internet, you and your family can now get your Internet service through a Wireless Internet service. This is especially true when the weather is warm outside or you are away from your home for an extended period of time, but want to stay "connected" online.

When wanting to have the most effective Internet service, you will have to look at Clear Wireless Internet as they offer a 4G service to their clients. With a 4G service, you can be sure to always have your Internet service running super fast and best of all, you can get online from wherever you are in your city or state. There is no time like the present to go online or call Clear Wireless and switch to an Internet service provider that is fast, real fast.

TwiceToddlers and Summer Vacation (?)

I remember when my summer months used to be three months, not a month and barely a half a month. This is just sad and pathetic how children these days barely get a summer vacation anymore. How can this be and why is this happening? Who is in charge here and whoever is in charge of the schools in California need to be replaced.

My twins will be ending preschool in mid-June, with cap and gown, and will begin their summer right after graduation until early-August. This is just pathetic folks. My twins barely get a chance to breathe and have fun without being back in a classroom, a new classroom for that matter.

I want to know who is in charge of the schools in California and what possessed them to have my babies in school for 10, almost 11 months!! Vacation, we barely have time for a vacation now.

Oh, wait, I know why our babies are being "forced" to attend school almost annually, but I will let you, my dear readers, figure this one out. I will not write what it is all about, but instead, let you find out why our children are going to school, almost year round.

This is very sad, indeed, and needs to be stopped. Our children need, and their parents, working or not, need a break, a real break not just 1.5 months!!

TwiceToddlers Nana and Papa are Going Home

Tomorrow morning, my parents, my twins Nana and Papa, will be going home. They are leaving early to beat the traffic going down the interstate. Usually, there are a lot of trucks going their way through the two major highways. Plus, they are not fans of sitting in downtown traffic as this is when everyone goes out of town to surrounding cities for fun.

Since my parents are leaving, I made them a homemade "Thank You" card. I will post it on my other blog, AllThingsHomeMade, tomorrow for you to see, as I do not have time tonight to do so. I love this new homemade card I made. I always take photos of all my homemade products and would gladly sell them of asked to make them for others.

Anyway, I know my twins will be so sad to see Nana and Papa go tomorrow morning, but they will be back next month.

The Medical Alert System for Seniors

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Medical Guardian. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you have a parent of older family member living with or near you, one of the most important medical devices to have on them is a medical alert system from Medical Guardian. This medical alert device can be worn on your loved on as a bracelet, pendant or clip on attachment. In today's busy world, the elderly who are still capable of living on their own, might have older children who want their loved one connected to a medical alert company. Living on your own is liberating, but there are ways to stay in your home and be safe as well. When an older person has this medical alert product on them and in their home, they have a quicker way to ask for help.

Falling down, as an older person, can be frightening. That is why there are ways to prevent a fall by talking to your doctor. Your doctor will suggest getting an annual vision checkup and hearing checkup. If you take prescription medications, it is advised to take them daily, as prescribed and have a rail added to your shower or bathtub to reduce the risk of falling. Along with adding a railing to your shower or bathtub, it is important to put a rubber mat on the floor of your shower or bathtub as well.

Finally, if need be, it is important to use a walking device if you are around your home or out and about your city or elsewhere. This will allow you to still be active and still be on your own.

TwiceToddlers and their Last Day with Nana and Papa

Today is my twins last full day with Nana and Papa until June. This morning, Nana and Mommy drove the girls to school, then did some shopping, came home put our stuff away until time to pick up the girls.

Once my twins were picked up, we came home, ate lunch and they played outside with Papa, even in all this crazy wind. I stayed indoors, with no wind and where it is a bit warmer. I am not a fan of all this wind, that came from nowhere.

Tonight, we will order pizza for dinner since Daddy will be showing a home until probably late. We wanted to go out to eat, somewhere LOUD and toddler friendly, but Daddy will not want to go out after a long day at work.

Right now, my twins are napping, hopefully getting a good sleep too. Twin B is sleeping a lot longer a nap time, probably because she is in a growing spurt.

Oh my, my twins are graduating from preschool next month. They are growing so fast, in the blink of an eye, they are no longer babies, but walking, talking and opinionated little people.

TwiceToddlers at their Ballet Dance Recital

My twins had their first ballet dance recital on Tuesday. I have to say, it was adorable. At almost 4.5 years old, they attention span is not long, yet. Twin A and Twin B were really funny, like comedians, funny. Twin A was able to do and remember the recital rountine, while Twin B was a little aprehensive about doing the recital she had practiced for weeks. Well, nontheless, they were great, but I am not biased at all.

My twins had a large fan base too. There was Mommy, Daddy, the two grandpas, the two grandmas and three aunties in attendance. Here are some photos and video I took of my TwiceToddlers first Ballet Recital.

TwiceToddlers and Their First Hair Cut

This morning, my parents and twins, went downtown to one of my hair stylist. I have two, but for my twins, I choose to go to her. I have known her since she opened downtown and she is pretty close to my home. When my twins were babies, I used to walk them downtown and when she opened up, I became one of her clients.

So, today, my parents, twins and I drove downtown (my twins love downtown-or just saying downtown-anyway.

If you know me, you know I love taking photographs, so here are just a few of the many I took today...enjoy!!

Placing Oriental Rugs on your Bare Floor Brings Warmth and Conversation

When your home has bare floors such as wood, tile or any other hard surface, adding an area rug, such as oriental rugs, will allow for your homes floors to be warm and add to your conversation with family and friends. Oriental rugs come in the shapes such as rectangle, square and runners. There are Oriental rugs in all sizes as well. Some Oriental rugs are 4'2 x 5'11,
6'6 x 9'10, 9'8 x 12'4 and many, many more sizes.

Oriental rugs can be purchased with a variety of colors. Many Oriental rugs have the colors red, green, blue, navy blue and red and are handmade, woven hand knotted. These rugs come from nations such as Pakistan and Iran and are made from wool or cotton.

If you love your hard floors, but are looking to add some warmth, color and style, Oriental rugs are the way to go.

TwiceToddlers, Homework and Learning

Even though my twins are in preschool, they do homework. Since last August, they have learned all the letters of the alphabet, their colors and their shapes. These are all things I taught them at home and from learning on these rented shows from my cable company. In fact, I have been showing my twins their letters, colors and shapes with flash cards too.

When my twins started preschool, they also learned to cut on dotted lines, color in the lines and simple math problems. They are also learning to their numbers from 1 to 100.

I am teaching my twins to read at home, with the Hooked on Phonics box I purchased. I do hope this works for them because I am wondering if the way the school teaches them will be any different. It would be really great if they could learn from Mommy,at home this summer.

TwiceToddlers LOVE Nana and Papa

My parents drove up to see me, my hubby and of course my twins last Sunday. The reason for their visit was to see my twins in their ballet recital. Ever since my parents being at my home, my twins have just been so excited. They just love their Nana and Papa and it makes me so happy to see them playing together and spending time together. It is not fun living over 600 miles from my parents and my sister and her family.

As sad as this is, our distance, we have a great time together when my parents are visiting. Today, was my twins ballet recital. If and when I have time, I will upload photos of them. I took more video than photos of them as the lighting was not all that great in the room they had the recital in.

For my twins recital, they did "The Bunny Dance". It was just so adorable. They wiggled their ears, wiggled their nose, something with their teeth and that is how it goes...then they did this little dance around a chair and said this was the Bunny Dance.

Oh, it was just adorable and it looked like they had fun performing too. Although, a the beginning of the recital, Twin "B" was becoming nervous and did not want to perform, but her teacher, an amazing young lady, convinced Twin "B" to do this show she had practiced for so many days.

Freschetta 12" Roasted Garlic and Spinach Flatbread Pizza

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Freschetta. All opinions are 100% mine.

Oh I am so happy, when I received my coupons in the mail for the Freschetta FlatBread , I could not wait to purchase it and eat it. It took a while for me to actually purchase the pizza because I was unable to find it in some of my cities grocery stores. Tonight, my hubby was able to get to a grocery store in our city that I knew would be carrying it. When I got home from my bible study, I was went to my freezer, opened the box the pizza was contained in and with scissors, opened the plastic surrounding the frozen pizza.

Like the directions said, I placed the frozen pizza in the microwave for 3 minutes. If I wanted to, I could have heated the pizza on 400 degrees and 15 minutes in my oven, but I was hungry. After the microwave buzzer went off, I took the pizza out and flipped one corner of the pizza to the other. What was once a square shaped pizza was now a triangle shaped pizza. I let the flatbread pizza cool down for about five minutes, then took my first bite. I have to say, it was delicious. The Roasted Garlic and Spinach made for a perfect combination and was not too much, nor too little of toppings.

Since I am the only one that loves roasted garlic and spinach, I was able to enjoy this delicious flatbread pizza myself. Now, if you want to purchase any of the four Freschetta Flatbread Pizza's for yourself or your family, you can go to this link for your $1 coupon and get a Freschetta Flatbread Pizza yourself.

TwiceToddlers and Their Sunday School Friend

Last Thursday one of my friends from church and her youngest son came to my home. Well, tonight after bible study, she said she could come over again for Thursday. I was going to ask her to come over again, but did not want to sound pushy or needy. But, just like the Lord, He knows what I am thinking and my friend too. So yeah, I am so happy they are coming over again tomororow. My girlfriend and have have been friends for a long time now and it is nice she has two days in the week to work at home and them spend time with her friends.

My twins just love playing with her 3 year old son. He is such a doll and wow, so bright. He does like playing with my twins and they can play in the backyard or our long driveway with chalk and with our watertable, which I need to clean out tomorrow as it is full of falling leaves from our neighbors tree.

Oh, I do hope the weather is nice tomorrow. It looked like it was going to rain again today..

TwiceBabies and Learning

My twins, they really love learning. Well, they do not like being still for one thing and when I showed them this new wesbite for children 2-K today, they had so much fun. There were songs they could sings, animals they could learn about, puzzles they could put together and art work they could create.

The best thing my twins liked was hearing their names in the letter songs. The first letter in my twins names, that letter song had their names in it and they loved it. I did too, it was really cute.

The whole website it cute and I can't wait until it goes live. The website is really user friendly and allows a child to be interactive with all the learning tools and games on the website.

Children ages 2-K can learn about letters, math, reading, science, art and so much more. It is like going to school....without having to go to school...Hmm what a concept. This would be perfect for parents who fear their children enter the public school "system" as that is what it is a system.

Maybe, this website will add more learning tools for children 1-5 and beyond. It would really be a great idea and the learning can be done at the children's pace and not that of the school system throughout the United States where children are being forced to learn something they are not ready for or are too advanced to learn about.

Lunchables is having a Field Trips for All Contest and You can be a Part of it

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Lunchables. All opinions are 100% mine.

Did you know that there will be over 30,00 school districts who will no longer be able to have field trips for children 6 and up? Just think of all the awesome field trips, in these school districts, that children will no longer be able to go to, touch and see. Nothing says learning is more fun like hands on learning does. I know that learning has always been more fun and memorable when something can be seen, touched or felt in person. When Lunchables launched their new Field Trips For All campaign, they had all schools and all children ages 6 and up in mind. In fact, they are going to select 50 classrooms to attend an inspiring and educational experience.

With the Lunchables Field Trips for All campaign, if you are 6 years old and up, you can nominate someone you think is deserving of this reward. In fact, if you spread the word, tell your friends and family about this campaign and you too might be chosen for one of these amazing Lunchables Field Trips for All for your classroom.

Once you have nominated someone, go to the Lunchables Field Trips for All website and let them know who you have nominated and why. Lunchables would love to know who you have nominated for this one of a kind campaign.

TwiceToddlers Dance Recital Coming up Soon

Next week, my twins will have their first ballet recital. I am so excited as I am sure they are too. They have been practicing for weeks now and will some be able to wear their bunny costumes. My Mom and Dad will be able to come up and that excites me and my twins. My twins will be able to see my parents this month and in June for their preschool graduation.

When my twins learn something, they really learn it fast. Every time they rehearse for this recital, they come home singing the songs for the recital. They are not supposed to sing them as they are a surprise for the recital, but they certainly to remember everything they are taught.

I can't wait to see my twins in these cute bunny costumes as the ears are a glitter like pink, a white bunny tail, white gloves and white tights. They will wear all of this around their already bought ballet outfits they have worn all season.

Well, if you know me, you know I will be taking lots of photos and video of their performance too. So, you can expect to see some of the photos on a separate blog article as well.

When You are Looking for Pearls, only Pure Pearls will Do

It is hard to imagine any woman not wanting or liking pearls . Pearls come in all shapes, sizes, colors and textures. The pearl has been hunted for thousands of years in freshwater and saltwater. A freshwater pearl can be found in mussels and can be found in lakes, rivers and even ponds. A saltwater pearl can be found in an oyster shell and be found in the ocean. Pearls are special and unique in that they are created out of an irritation inside the shell. As it happens, whatever shell the pearl is formed in creates a pearl sac around the irritant or invader. A pearl is formed from the shell creating what is called calcium carbonate. It takes a while for the pearl to form, but once it is formed, the pearls seen in stores and purchased online, are the same pearls hunted all over the world.

The akoya pearls are one of the most blusterous pearls and have an excellent clean quality to them. These akoya pearls make for an excellent wedding, anniversary or birthday gift. The akoya pearls come in earrings, necklaces, custom strands, pendants, bracelets, and the akoya hanadama collection. Akoya necklaces come in the sizes of 6.5mm all the way to 9.9mm. These pearl necklaces also come in the lengths of 16",
18", 22" and 36". Prices for these Akoya Pearls range from $205, $450 to $760 and $2605.

Finally, there are the tahitian pearls which are also known as the Black Pearl of the South Sea. These Tahitian Pearls can range in color from a light dove gray to a gunmetal gray. These Tahitian Pearls are fashioned into necklaces, bracelets, earrings, rings, cuff links and pendants. The Tahitian Pearl necklaces come in 18 inches and 8.0mm all the way to 14.62mm depending on the style of Tahitian Pearl necklace you desire.

TwiceToddlers and the Mother's Day Brunch

Yesterday, for Mother's Day, one of my Sister in Law's had a delicious brunch for the Mother's in our family. These Mother's included her Mom, her Sister and Me. The brunch was just so warm and yummy. My Sister in Law made this egg casserole with sausage, a french toast dish (which too was just delicious), Sausage with Pineapple bits inside and fresh strawberries, pineapple and grapes too.

The whole day was very nice, indeed. After the brunch, which lasted until I think 1PM, we came home and rested for a while. Well, actually, the twins and Daddy rested, while I was watching the movie "Chocolat". Actually, I had fallen asleep watching that movie. Now, I rarely, if ever, just fall asleep during the daytime unless I have it scheduled to rest.

Anyway, after waking up, my my hubby's other sister called and asked if we wanted to go out for dinner while she watch the twins. Well, I was not going to pass that up because my hubby and I hardly, if ever, go out. We had a very nice time. I had wanted to eat out at Texas Roadhouse, but the lines were out the door. So, we went to our next favorite, Chili's, instead. That too had long lines, but we decided to eat in the bar instead. Eating in the bar reduces our all around seating and meal time.

For Mother's Day, my twins got me this cute Flower Pot with Bath and Body Works Sweet Pea Shower Gel, Lotion, Spritz Spray, Three Flower Picture Frames and Sweet Pea Seeds. I love it and on the flower pot, the twins wrote their names.

Yes, it was a very nice Mother's Day....indeed...

TwiceToddlers and Mommy at Preschool Mother's Day Tea

This morning at my twins preschool, they had a Mother's Day Tea. It began at 10:00 AM and was just wonderful. When all the Mom's arrived, our children were sent into their classroom where we sat in their tiny toddler chairs. Then, all our children's teacher's came into the room and one of their teacher's introduced each of the teachers to us.

Then, one of the teachers took out two books, which I can not recall right now, but own one of the books about "I love you forever..". The teacher that spoke said we will cry when she reads these books and guess what...there was not a dry eye on the house.

Our children sat on our laps as this teacher read these books and my twins, so precious as they are, asked why Mommy was crying and I told them, "Because you are growing up so fast and I will miss you being the toddlers that you are right now."

When the reading was done, each Mom was sent to the Mother's Day Tea room. Once in the room, we found our table and were treated to our children singing "This Little Light of Mine." Of course, I took some photographs and video of my precious twins singing and dancing.

After their performance, each table with their children, got up and went to the table where there were tea sandwiches, fruit and cookies. All the food was just great and my twins loved it. They loved being with Mommy and they were just loving on Mommy all the time I was there.

It was just a very memorable day and something I will aways remember and my twins too.

TwiceToddlers and Their Newest Gift From Mommy

Yeah, my twins newest gift arrived today. While on a major website that sells lots of stuff at somewhat good prices, Mommy (that is me), found a tent for my twins. My twins always want Mommy to make them a tent in our family room. Well, when I do make them a tent, they totally destroy the family room. I mean, there are stuff toys, blankets and chairs everywhere.

So, instead of this mess, I decided to purchase a tent for them. I looked at two tents, one looks like your typical camping tent. Although, this camping tent had four primary colors around it and a tunnel to attach to it. I thought, at first this would be real cute and the girls would love it. Then, I thought, it will take up a LOT of space where ever it is, especially in our family room. So, I kept on searching for other tents and that is when I came upon a Disney Princess tent. This tent is pink and looks like a castle. This tent is round and looks easy to set up. It was also within my price range too;even with shipping and handling.

When my twins wake up from their afternoon nap, they will see it in the family room, ready for them to put ALL their stuffed animals, blankets and pillows in. Hopefully, they will not have any animals around the family room anymore.

This play tent is indoor/outdoor too. So, they can play in this tent with their friends too..

Go Mommy!!

**Once the tent is up, I will take a and place them right here...if I remember and or have time.**

Looking for Cheap Auto Insurance?

If you are a licensed driver in the United States, you will need auto insurance. Auto insurance is not only mandatory, but necessary in the event the driver causes an accident or the driver is hit by another driver(s). With that said, there is no need to for an auto insurance company to charge you an outrageous monthly fee to insure your vehicle. That is why there is cheap auto insurance. Now, just because auto insurance is cheap, does not mean the auto insurance company will not come to your aid when you need them most. Cheap auto insurance means offers theft policies, no fault policies, liability policies, comprehensive policies and of course, collision coverage. A driver might want one, two or all of these policies depending on the type of driving they do every day.

When you want to an auto insurance quote, do you really want to pay for that quote? Receiving a free auto insurance quote is easy and free. This is a great advantage to you, the auto insurance buyer, because you can receive quotes from five or more companies in no time. Since auto insurance companies are looking to reduce any risk of accidents to or from a driver, they are able to calculate things such as risk analysis and statistics on their insured driver. When giving you a quote, they will add in your demographics, your age, driving record and possible natural disasters in your area. This will determine what your rate will be with a specific auto insurance company.

Finally, many insurance companies have a "good student" or teen drivers plan. This means if your student has high grades or is a good driver, they will receive a good driver discount. So, if your student is a safe driver, has no accidents on their driving record and no speeding tickets, they are likely to have lower insurance rates and no points added to their driving record.

TwiceToddlers Making Construction Paper Fishes

A couple of weeks ago, my twins wanted to make construction paper fishes. Actually, Twin "A" wanted to make one. She saw the colorful construction paper Mommy had on under her desk, took it out and said, "Mommy, I want to make a fishy." So, with the paper, scissors and glue sticks, I brought the stuff to our dining room table.

Mommy cut all sorts of different colors into squares so my twins could glue them on the fish shape Mommy cut out for them. Well, my twins had so much fun doing this project with Mommy.

Here they are pasting the colorful squares onto the fishy Mommy cut for them.

Having Insurance is Part of Life

There are many types of insurance being sold by a variety of companies. Insurance is important for whatever reason you might need it. Take for instance life insurance. Life insurance is something every family, big or small, needs to consider. When it comes to life insurance, this is the best insurance to invest in. If by chance, you are no longer around, your family will be financially stable and taken care of. A life insurance plan will help your loved ones continue to pay for their home, outstanding bills, food and everyday living expenses. When deciding on what type of life insurance, you can look into children's life insurance, recovery insurance, disability insurance and accidental death insurance. In today's busy world, life insurance has to be at the top of your list of things to purchase.

Life insurance quotes are the first thing you need to talk to your representative about. Questions you might ask are how old does one have to be in order to purchase life insurance, how low or high can one go when purchasing life insurance, will one need to provide medical tests when purchasing life insurance, is this a policy which can be kept for life and many other questions when obtaining a quote.

Finally, there is funeral insurance . Even though this is an unpleasant subject, it has to be discussed nonetheless. Funerals, sadly, cost a pretty penny and need to be budgeted for things such as the casket or cremation, burial plot, funeral home, transportation and flowers. For these reasons, it is important to ask questions such as how old one has to be in order to purchase funeral insurance, will funeral insurance cover everyone in my family, are there any health questions and many other important questions.

When deciding to purchase life and funeral insurance, come in to your local office with all necessary questions to get the insurance plans that fit your family needs.

TwiceToddlers Run Themselves Tired..

This evening, after my twins took their evening bath, they had a surprise! Their Auntie Cheryl and Uncle Mel came over to see them. Last week, twins A & E talked to their Auntie and they wanted to see her. So, she and Uncle Mel came over tonight.

While at our home, my twins, Auntie Cheryl and Uncle Mel first went over some BIG cards to see if they knew their colors and shapes. Of course, my twins knew them all as we have been learning these since they were two years old.

Then after doing that, they played the Garanimals Matching Game. That game took a while to play because Twin "B" was distracted with our kitty kat. When this game finally ended with a winner, Auntie Cheryl and Uncle Mel had to go home. The twins hugged and kissed and walked outside to say goodbye.

Once inside and getting ready for bed, my twins watched two of their cartoons before bed. Well, with all that excitement, they fell asleep before watching their final show. Well now, if they had taken their afternoon nap as they do everyday, they would not have fallen asleep.

So, I am just waiting for them to wake up screaming because they were not able to finish their shows and have Mommy and Daddy pray over them and do our goodnight routine.
