TwiceToddlers and a Summer Fever

Yes, last night my twins had a fever. Their temps were between 100.1 t0 102.2 Oh goodness, I remember getting summer fevers as a child. I am assuming it is due to the hot temps outside and being a new human being, outdoors, makes these warmer temps not good for little ones.

Here is a post I found on the Parents Community website called Summer Flu. I do have to agree with the majority of it. Although, my twins do not have allergies or hay fever. I would love to tell you why my twins do not have allergies, but you probably do not want to hear it or agree with me. Again, more than hay fever or allergens, I believe my twins came down with a fever due to it being warm or hot outdoors for them. We are indoors the majority of the fall/winter months. So, when the weather gets warmers/hotter, my twins are just not used to it yet.

Like I wrote in my article, How to Treat a Low Grade Fever, I did three of the four steps I suggested. Twin "B"s fever broke this morning, Amen, but Twin "A" still has a little fever. I mean, here fever is not as bad as it was last night and I did give her more medicine this morning.

Because my twins had a fever last night, and still this morning, they did not attend their swim lessons. I am sure Twin "A"s fever will be gone by this evening. My sweet babies, they are not familiar with getting colds that often. In fact, my twins rarely, if ever, get a cold, flu or fever. I praise God for my twins health and them being to always play, run around and just have fun, fun, fun.

Girls Just Wanna Have Fun....Right!!

TwiceToddlers and a Very Busy Week

Last week was very busy indeed. My twins started swim lessons and have VBS. Their swim lessons were in the late morning and VBS in the evening. This is why I have not been writing lately. Like my twins, I have been tired too!

When my twins came home from swim lessons, they showered, ate lunch and went down for a nap. Then, they woke up, at a light dinner and we were off the VBS.

Here are some photos of my twins swimming and some from VBS as well. Over the next few days, I will add more photos and write about the fun my twins have been having.

These are Day One of swimming and VBS photos:

Twins in swimming pool Day One, above:

Day One VBS indoors and outdoors. It certainly was hot for several days. Some days, it was quite windy and felt like it was going to rain.
I will keep writing and adding more photos as this week progresses. Even though I was the photographer for this VBS week, I became exhausted too.

Over the years, it seems people are experiencing dry eyes. Having Dry Eye's affects over 20 million in the US alone. As it turns out, many artificial tears will cause dry eye. This is happening because of preservatives used to keep eye drops for a longer period of time.

TwiceToddlers and Father's Day

For Father's Day, we all went to church, Daddy got a nice Father's Day gift from our church. Going home, we went to the grocery store to get some drinks and other goodies for our Father's Day BBQ. For this Father's Day, we had my hubby's parents over and one of his sister's and her hubby too.

After lunch today, Daddy was given a gift by our twins. I was a Target and saw this really cute screen T reading, Green Eggs and Ham. I had to get it for him..there is an inside joke for this shirt. Anyway, our twins gave this to Daddy and two cards they individually made him.

Our BBQ was nice as we had Tri Tip, Rosemary Chicken, Leaf Lettuce Salad, Fruit Salad and Asparagus.

The weather was just perfect too. Not too hot and not too windy.

When I got back from church, I called my Dad and talked to him for a while. He was having a nice day and will be using the Starbucks gift card I got him. He really likes Starbucks, especially their egg breakfast sandwiches..

Happy Father's Day Dad and Dad in Law!!

P.S. Today is mine and my hubby's 12th Wedding Anniversay...

TwiceToddlers Fast Asleep Tonight

After the fun party the attended today, we all came home and my twins got into their PJs and drank their milk. While drinking their milk, they watched an hour of one of their favorite cartoon on On Demand.

Before going to bed, my twins brushed their teeth and got all their stuffed animals on or around their bed. Then, Daddy went to say a prayer for them first. Then, like they always do, they said, "Mommy!! Come kiss your Girlies!!"

So, as I always do, I went into their room, prayed over them and did two other things we always do before they go to sleep. Tonight, they actually fell asleep fast. Well, this is of no surprise to me since they would NOT nap today. They were too excited to nap...

But, they had a blast at today's party.

Go Twins!!!

TwiceToddlers and Summer Birthday Parties

My twins have attended two summer birthday parties so far. Their summer has barely begin as they just ended PreK earlier this week. My twins went to a summer pool party with one of their friends from PreK and today, from one of their church friends.

Both parties were nice. The first party, like the second, had a Pinata. The Pinata at the most recent party took forever to break. But, it was fun because every kid was able to get more than one hit at breaking and or knocking it down.

At the first party, of course, the kids were in the pool. That was fun, indeed. Although, as kids and their parents were leaving, Twin "B", did NOT want to get out of the water. Of goodness, she was a total pill. Twin "A", on the other hand, actually obeyed Mommy and got out of the pool, dried off and got dressed.

At the second party, the kids had a bounce house to play in. A bounce house is always fun and is a great way to release all that energy kids build up during the day. Then, the kids made some S'mores and took home a paintable My Little Pony.

To took photos of both parties and will, soon, post some of the photos. Probably not in this article, but soon. I have to look at the first and of course, delete the ones that did not come out well.

TwiceToddlers at their Preschool Graduation: Videos

Oh, my twins graduated from PreK earlier this week. It was just so precious! The children, including my twins, entered from the front doors of the church and went down this long walkway to the front of the church. There were probably fifteen children on each side of the aisle. My twins were on the left side of the aisle with some of their friends.

As soon as all the children were assembled, they began to sing a song. My twins were wating for the other half of their classmates to be assembled on the right side and my twins were waving to Nana, Papa, Grammie, Papa and Auntie Leenie too. Mommy, of course, was taking the video of my TwiceBabies standing, waiting to sing their first song. You can see my twins wearing a Lei which Nana bought them. They look just so precious!!

Here is my twins singing their song about growing like a flower. I really can not hear what they are saying, even though I sing this song on church every now and then.

My twins singing the song I'm a Little Star and walking down the aisle as they leave PreK behind and head off to Kindergarten soon....My babies are no longer babies or toddlers. In fact, I will have to think of a new name for my twins as I write about them on this blog.

Along with these videos, I will write an article with still photos of my twins and some of their classmates. They all looked so excited to graduate. Honestly, I doubt they really knew what was going on. Well, my twins loved singing and wearing the cap and gown, but graduting from PreK, they really did not understand..

Does Your Father Wear a Watch?

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Voctorinox Swiss Army. All opinions are 100% mine.

For as long as I can recall, my Dad has worn a watch. I have never seen him not wear a watch. Even though he now has a hi tech cell phone, he still wears his watch. For many people, wearing a watch is a piece of jewelry which has become part of their daily clothing attire. My Dad likes watches that will last forever and a watch like the Victorinox Swiss Army watch does just that. The Swiss Army company, right now, is having a sweepstake at their Facebook IWAW sweepstakes page.

Along with filling out the Victorinox Swiss Army sweepstates contest, you can also visit the SwissArmy website homepage, or go directly to the Victorinox Swiss Army page

This watch above is called AirBoss Mach 3 and is at a reasonable price and wonderfully crafted. Of course, this watch is made in Switzerland, is avation inspired in details and functionality.

I encourage all my readers to fan the Victorinox Swiss Army Facebook page and participate in the I Wear a Watch sweepstakes. Over 30 days they’re giving 30 lucky winners a Victorinox Swiss Army timepiece. http://bit.ly/cwD4oU

TwiceToddlers Playing in Backyard Pool with Papa

When the weather got warmer, my twins got real excited about being able to play in the pool. The pool we have is actually a baby pool we purchased at the end of Summer last year. So, when Nana and Papa came up to see their precious twins graduate from PreK, we had to take out the pool and fill it with water.

We usually get two or three plastic pools in the summer. In fact, with my nephews, hopefully, coming up to see their cousins this summer, we will have to get a larger pool for all five kids to play in.

But for now, my twins are having a blast in their baby pool and Papa is having fun with his TwiceBabies as well.

TwiceToddlers Getting Toenails Painted from Nana

The night before my twins graduated from PreK, Nana painted my twins toes. They loved it and had them painted a Hot Pink. The color is still on their toes and still looks so pretty. They would love to have their toes colored all yearround, but in the winter, they wear socks alot.

Anyway, they kinda sat still for Nana and allowed their toes to dry. I told them to blow on their toes to let them dry faster.

Here are the photos I took of Nana painting my twins toenails the night before my twins graduated from PreK.

TwiceToddlers at Twin Lakes Beach in Santa Cruz with Nana, Papa, Mommy and Daddy

After our fun on the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, we drove down the freeway to a beach my hubby was familiar with as a little kid and teenager. The beach was just wonderful. It was not really long or crowded at all. There is a lighthouse along the harbor rocks and I really liked it. I am hoping we go back at least one more time this summer. My twins said they would rather go to the beach than boardwalk next time.

TwiceToddlers at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk with Nana, Papa, Mommy and Daddy

Last weekend, we all went to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Even though the drive there was long, the fun my twins had was worth it. Like always, they ride the rides for little ones, or toddlers as I call me twins.

Papa and Daddy went on two rides with our twins and they had a very good time. The weather was just awesome and we probably stayed four to five hours. Then, we drove down the freeway and went to a "real" beach in Santa Cruz. It was just lovely. I mean, I had no idea there were beaches like this is Santa Cruz. I did not grow up in NorCal and my hubby never took me to the beach preTwiceBabies.

So, hopefully we will go two more times this summer.
